Volunteer Orientation Training

This 10-part volunteer orientation prepares volunteers to support Carter G. Woodson School’s K-12 students in a safe, respectful, and student-centered environment. It introduces the school’s history, mission, and community values, then covers volunteer expectations, communication, confidentiality, student safety, classroom support, and emergency procedures. By the end, volunteers will understand their role in helping create the nurturing, challenge-friendly learning environment the school expects for every student.
